MISSION/PURPOSE

The New Villagers Club is a social organization whose purpose is to Welcome, Acclimate, Assimilate and Entertain newcomers in Tellico Village.

We focus on promoting friendships and facilitating their participation in the activities of the Village.  The New Villagers Club’s effectiveness in delivering this Mission is solely dependent upon volunteerism by current New Villager members.

The New Villagers Club offers a wide variety of events and clubs, designed to help you

• Explore opportunities for fun
• Develop lasting friendships
• Learn what Tellico Village has to offer

Innovative volunteers offer an array of events that include, but are not limited to

• Cultural
• Regional history
• Arts and Crafts
• Tours of local attractions
• Sporting events

There are clubs/groups to join such as

• Wine tasting group
• Book club
• In home dining groups
• Hiking
• Cocktails and game groups
• Weekly golf scrambles

MEMBERSHIP IS ONE TIME - 24 Months

Membership is open to new  Tellico Village residents or those who have never been a member.

• Membership commences on the day you complete your registration and pay the one-time fee.
• Membership ends in twenty-four months on the last day of your join date month. 
• Membership fee is $40 per household.   Register and pay by credit card on-line at TellicoLife.org.

Become a Volunteer

There are many places you can volunteer in New Villagers.  There are Event Coordinators, Greeters at the Socials, and annual Board positions.

Any member committed to serve at least 12 months or committed beyond  their 24-month standard membership in a volunteer position will be extended to accommodate their serving out their position for a full calendar year, not to exceed 35 months.

MEETINGS

Our monthly meetings/socials are held the first Thursday of each month at The Yacht Club. We are currently holding two meetings each month.  One at 5:00PM and one at 6:30PM.  Advanced online registration is required. Please see our latest newsletter on Telliconewvillagers.com for the most up to date meeting details. 

Many meet for dinner at the Blue Heron, inside the Yacht Club, after the meeting.  Please consider joining us!  Reservations are strongly recommended.  See http://www.tellicovillageyachtclub.com/ for more information.

There are also non-voting positions of Asst. VP of Activities, Membership Admin., and Webmaster.

Officers excluding the Treasurer may run for a second term in the same position.
