Spring Field Trip

Our May Spring Field Trip Will be at Suttree Landing Park in south Knoxville on May 11th starting at 10am. The address is as follows:
        1001 Waterfront Dr SE, Knoxville, TN 37920

The group will meet at the pavilion on the east side of the park and Dr. Konkel will lead a walking tour, pointing out the different urban storm water features and management practices demonstrated there. Many of these features incorporate native plant gardens and plantings of various types. She is planning on about an hour and half presentation. The walk would be about 0.6 miles at a leisurely pace. Dogs and children are welcome!
Kristin will be at Poplar Springs Boat Ramp at 8:30 am Thursday for a 8:50 departure.Feel free to travel directly to Suttree Landing Park without stopping at Poplar Springs.Lunch has not been organized for this trip. Each car can decide on their own if they choose to stop for lunch on the way home.Hope to have a good turnout.Forecast is currently great!
