Speaker: Our Speaker is Joy Grisson from the Native Plant Rescue Squad, to talk about the mission of the Squad - educate, advocate, and conduct the rescue of native plants.  NPRS is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of the rich diversity of native flora in East Tennessee.  They work with builders, developers and land owners, to rescue native plants that would otherwise be destroyed during building and development, with the goal of increasing the overall ecological health of our region.  All village residents are welcome to attend and get new insights how native plants require low maintenance, use less water, require less chemicals, attract wildlife and may be the perfect solution for landscaping your home.
