Tellico Community Players

Come Play With Us!

No stage, no sets, no props or costumes, no money….with nothing but a love of live theatre and a lot of hard work, the Tellico Community Players put on their first production, “Dirty Work Afoot” in September 1990 at the Tellico Village Yacht Club.

Fast forward 24 years…..with a long-term affordable lease for the former site of the Tellico Village Library at Lakeside Plaza and generous donations from the community, $100,000.00 was raised to create the 136-seat Tellico Community Playhouse, which opened October 2014 with “Red Velvet Cake War”.

Another 4 years passed and the Tellico Community Players presented their 100th production, “Dixie Swim Club” in 2018.

Once a small, informal group of theatre devotees, today the TCP is an all volunteer non-profit organization providing an outlet for creative community involvement in the performing arts and stagecraft as they continue their passionate history of quality performances that enrich, entertain, and educate audiences.

The Tellico Community Players are a proud member of the American Association of Community Theatre.
