Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary TourBrushy Mountain State Penitentiary used to be the last place you wanted to be sent to. Known as the "End of the Line," Brushy was a maximum-security prison that held murderers, robbers, evil men who committed heartless crimes with little remorse. Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, located West of Oak Ridge has recently opened to the public for tours. Former prison guards will be nearby to answer any questions or share brief stories that will terrify and surprise you. Experience a place no HOA member has ever gone before! Of course, there is a museum and gift shop where you can purchase t-shirts, hats, etc. and End of the Line Tennessee Moonshine. You will need to sign a waiver upon arrival at the prison.
Cost: $20.00 per person placeholder.
Lunch (Self - Pay - Not included in Cost of Event) to be held at the Warden’s Table onsite restaurant after the tour around 11:30am. Lunch will be a set entree with choice of multiple sides. Any vegetarians or special diet needs - please advise me and they will accommodate. . Meet in the Chota Center parking lot across from the Marathon Gas Station at 8am. We can carpool from there. About 1 hour and 10+ minute drive. Your check will be returned to you the day of the tour. The Tour cost will be $15 + tax - payable at the door.
