Civil War Walking Tour

Joan Markel, curator of the Civil War history exhibits at the McClung Museum (University of Tennessee) and author of “Knoxville in the Civil War” will lead us on a special 2 hour walking tour. Knoxville had divided loyalties in the War which forced families, schools, churches, financial institutions, and literally all aspects of community to opposite sides of the deadly conflict. Armies, battles, famous generals, partisans and thousands of troops from every state, North and South, made their mark on the Knoxville landscape.
After the tour, we’ll enjoy a Holiday lunch at Tupelo Honey on Market Square.
Time: Meet at Market Square (Downtown) at 9:45am. 2 Hour Tour Lunch: 12 (appr.) Tupelo Honey

Cost: $5.00 (does not include lunch)
