VALENTINE'S DAY GETAWAY CRUISE!

Join your hosts, Marge & Lance Jensen, your TRAVEL PARTNERS  for another memorable Caribbean cruise! Once again, we’re going deep into the warm & sunny Southern & Eastern Caribbean.  Sailing round-trip from easy-access Ft. Lauderdale, FL, aboard Royal Caribbean’s beautiful “Serenade of the Seas”.  Check out this exciting 11-night itinerary, seeing old favorites & experiencing new adventures!

PONCE, PUERTO RICO: PR’S second largest city. Fabulous art collection at Museo de Arte Ponce, featuring 4500 masterpieces, both local & the finest European works in the Caribbean. See the city from atop the 100-foot Virgin’s Cross. Stroll & shop the Plaza de las Delicias, see the old City Hall, Lions Fountain, the city cathedral & 100-year old Parque de Bombas fire house. Shop the Plaza del Caribe stores & Atocha Pedestrian Mall downtown. BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS: Teeming with history & eco-tourism adventure. Explore colonial estates, hike Mt. Liamuiga trail of towering trees, tangled vines & tropical flowers to the crater of the dormant volcano. Foodies & shopaholics head for The Strip on South Frigate Bay - shops, restaurants & bars - & the party starts early! Take the West Indies’ 100-year old railway, riding in double-decker railcars on a line built to haul sugarcane in years gone by. More shopping offered at Pelican Mall.

CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA: Trek huge rain forests or ride the open-air gondola that soars high thru the ecological park in north St. Lucia. Make your way to Marigot Bay, a natural harbor dotted with restaurants, bars & shops. Visit the town of Soufrierre & soak in the mineral waters that have been healing since the 1600s, heated by a dormant volcano, or enjoy a relaxing head-to-toe mud bath.

ST. GEORGES, GRENADA: Hike the mountainous interior to Grand Etang Lake, a 30-acre extinct volcano crater filled with natural cobalt blue water. Snorkel the world’s first Underwater Sculpture Park of contemporary art surrounded by exotic coral formations, tropical fish & other marine life. Discover the origins of the spice trade at historic Dougaldston Estate, a village nutmeg co-op. See how nutmeg is harvested, processed & exported at Gouyave Nutmeg Station. Tour the old River Antoine Rum Distillery. Shop at the Esplanade Mall at the cruise terminal.

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS: Take a solar-powered tram 170 ft. below ground to Harrison’s Cave, an intricate limestone cave system featuring flowing streams, waterfalls, colorful pools & unusual stalactite formations formed over 1000’s of years. Drive a 4X4 thru the Barbados Wildlife Reserve to see green monkeys, colorful birds & native animals. Relax at Harbor Lights Beach on Carlisle Bay. Snorkel shipwrecks, rent jet skis or visit Tortouga & swim with the giant turtles. Shop Broad Street.

ST. JOHNS, ANTIQUA: Explore Nelson’s Dockyard - the only working Georgian dockyard in the world, where sailing & yachting events occur. Visit historic Clarence House & Betty’s Hope, two restored stone windmill towers once a part of Antigua’s first major sugar plantation, dating to the mid-1600’s. Antigua is the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean - use plenty of sunscreen. Note - no camouflage clothing - it’s against the law! And of course, shop for jewelry, drink rum, & enjoy the people!

This cruise offers history, art, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with giant turtles & stingrays, sailing, hiking ecological parks, wildlife reserves & dormant volcanoes, gondola rides, waterfalls, mineral & mud baths, sightseeing, shopping, rum tasting………and so much more! And that doesn’t even cover what this fabulous ship offers!
