Hike Description: This is a circle hike following the lake shore. There should be nice views of the lake and mountains with the leaves off the trees. The visitors center and the fort itself are also worthy of a visit after the hike. Fort Loudon Historic Park is 1,200 acres and is one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier, built in 1756. The fort was reconstructed during the Great Depression.
